At the Jorge Marín Foundation, we believe that shared learning can transform lives and strengthen communities.
In June 2025, we launched a hammock-making workshop, inviting community members to learn this trade and develop new skills. With dedication and enthusiasm, the participants quickly mastered the technique and began creating high-quality, handcrafted hammocks.
Since December 2025, the Foundation has also supported them in marketing and selling their work. Currently, 24 artisans participate directly, organized into four groups that rotate sales to ensure opportunities and benefits are distributed equitably.
The enthusiasm, creativity, and talent demonstrated by the community inspired us to take things a step further. This is how Entrelazos was born—a line of artisanal jewelry that represents the bonds, alliances, and identity built through collective work.
Each piece is the result of a union between two crafts: it integrates handmade clay beads crafted by the community itself with the very same thread used to weave the hammocks. This gives life to creations of great artistic, cultural, and human value that interweave materials, knowledge, and stories.
More than just a jewelry line, Entrelazos reflects a process of learning, collaboration, and trust. It is proof that when art, labor, and community come together, projects are born that can generate opportunities, preserve artisanal knowledge, and strengthen a sense of belonging.
We are thrilled to share this journey and to see how Entrelazos continues to weave connections, creativity, and opportunities.
